Standard golf carts on flat, low-slope courses have ordinary power demands. Off-road models with high-power motors face tougher terrain and draw much higher current — they need high-output batteries with strong discharge capability. Remember: hills, sand, and full passenger loads can double power consumption, even on short trips.
Estimate your longest single trip and add a 30% buffer — this protects both your schedule and battery lifespan. For short-range use like hotel shuttles, a standard 100Ah battery is sufficient. For daily commuting or sightseeing with longer mileage requirements, choose 200Ah–300Ah. If your carts operate continuously without midday charging opportunities, a larger capacity is essential.
Higher capacity means more weight — confirm your cart's chassis can handle it.
